Cuso International is the Non-profit development agency that I am volunteering through. They send people all over the world where there is a need for specialized skill sets that can be transferred to the local community through volunteer work.
Cuso has four areas of focus and mine is education. As a part of this focus group Cuso International volunteers might work on teacher training, leadership and management training for school leaders, ESL teaching, disability special education, and improved primary education, particularly for girls.
They do this because millions of people around the world are missing out on primary education, and struggle to acquire the basic skills they need to unleash their potential for their communities.
