Hog Island

Hog Island is a pretty island off of Lance Aux Epines.

You can get to it by driving in but the road is very rough (even by Grenadian standards) and there are a number of bushes with thorns which could definitely scratch your car.

The island has a walking trail that covers the island. There is also a reef  off the southern tip of the island. However the water to get out to it is very, very shallow and so you definitely want to be aware of the tide. Once you get to the reef the sea level drops sharply and it can be a bit disconcerting to go from only a few feet of sea to a place where you can't see the bottom.

One of the small beaches had hundreds of conch shells broken on it. It was both beautiful and sad at the same time.
