Best Things to do in Grenada

There are so many wonderful things to do and see in Grenada. Depending on the amount of time you have available here are some of my favourite places.

Nature/Hiking
If you are interested in getting out and seeing some of beauty of Grenada here are a few great places to visit/ things to do.

Mt. Carmel- the highest waterfall in Grenada
Greanada Hash House Harriers- a group of runners/walkers that meet each week on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
Hog Island
Concord Falls
Annadale Falls

Real Life
If you want to get a taste of a more authentic Grenadian experience try visiting these places.

Nutmeg Factory- an inexpensive tour on how nutmeg is processed
The Carenage- the fishing heart of the city
Markets- find spices, Calabash bowls (my favourite I have 20 or so), vanilla, cocoa and saffron (which is turmeric).
Fish Market/ Abattoir- definitely not for people who don't like blood. I know a few Grenadians who won't go in the Abattoir but the fish market has amazing fish.
Rivers Antoine- A traditional rum factory on the east coast
Sendall Tunnel- the link between downtown and the Carenage.
Mt. Zion Public Library- the little library that could in downtown St. George's. If you are coming to Grenada consider you are allowed to bring 50 pounds (usually) in a suitcase. You'll probably only bring 30 max, so consider using the extra weight to bring quality children's books or resources for the library- you won't be sorry you did.

Beaches/Snorkeling
La Sagesse- one of the few beaches with rolling waves
Dragon Bay- excellent snorkeling
Pandy Beach- for sea shells and sea glass
Levera-
Sandy Island, Carriacou-

Entertainment
The Spice Basket- a great museum and entertainment centre
The Movie Theatre-
For the Love of Music (FLOM)

Historic
Fort George
Fort Frederick
Fort Matthew

Restaurants
Bear in mind we were volunteering, so there are lots of great restaurants we just could not afford to visit them.

Dodgy Dock
Umbrellas
Le Phare Blue
Kentucky Fired Chicky - Spicy!
